JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Site: San Diego, California
Date: July 11-15
Age Groups: Boys & Girls 6 & Under / 7-8 / 9-10 / 11-12 / 13-14 / 15-17 (All age groups must qualify). The number of qualifying spots is determined by the Junior World Championships.
The top four finishers (Boys 15-17), the top two finishers (Boys 13-14), the top two finishers (Girls 15-17) and the top finisher (Girls 13-14) will qualify for the Junior World Championships. The Junior World Qualifying for the 13-14 age division is held at Meadow Brook (6/8), Riverbend (6/9). Qualifying for the 15-17 age division is held at Meadow Brook (6/8), Riverbend (6/9) after which a cut is made with the low / ties 20-boys and 8-girls playing the final round at Park Meadows CC (6/10).
BOYS & GIRLS 11-12 / 9-10 / 7- 8 / 6 & Under
The top two finishers (Boys 11-12 / 9-10 / 7- 8 / 6 & Under) and the top finisher (Girls 11-12 / 9-10 / 7-8 / 6 & Under) will qualify for the Junior World Championships. The qualifying tournament is the Junior World Qualifying to be held at Eagle Lake GC on June 6-7, 2011. The Boys 11-12 and 9-10 divisions will play a 36-hole qualifying tournament (two rounds of 18) while the other divisions will play an 18-hole qualifying tournament (two rounds of 9-holes).
All qualifiers must receive UJGA Executive Committee approval to participate in the National event. |
UNITED STATES JUNIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Site: Gold Mountain Golf Club / Bremerton, Washington
Date: July 18-23
Entrants must apply on official USGA forms. To obtain the appropriate form, access the USGA web site at www.usga.org (click on Championships / Apply to Play / Amateur Championships / Junior Amateur) or contact Jeff Thurman / USGA Junior Championship Committee at 801-492-4637. Entrants must not be 18 on or before July 23, 2011 and must have a handicap of 6.4 or less. If your handicap is higher than the indicated requirement please do not sign up for this tournament, as your entry will be denied.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SENT TO THE USGA BY THE ENTRY DEADLINE; ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE INDICATED DATE. The Utah Junior Golf Association WILL NOT accept entries.
The qualifying tournament is held at Wasatch Mountain State Park GC and Park City Golf Course on June 22-23, 2011 (36-holes / 18-each day). |
UNITED STATES GIRLS JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Site: Olympia Field CC / Olympia Fields, Illinois
Date: July 18-23
Entrants must apply on official USGA forms. OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Site: PGA National Golf Club; Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Date: July 21-26 (Boys & Girls 15 & Under Divisions)
July 26-30 (Boys & Girls 16 – 18 Division)
Age Groups: Boys & Girls 10-11 / 12-13 / 14-15 / 16-18. The UJGA conducts a qualifying tournament for the Boys & Girls 16-18 age division only; all other divisions must contact the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships Committee to apply for invitation to the championship.
BOYS & GIRLS 16-18:
The top 3 Boys 16-18 and the top 2 Girls 15-18 finishers will be eligible to play at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships. The qualifying tournament will be held on June 29 – July 1, 2011 at East Bay (6/129), Sleepy Ridge (6/30) after which a cut is made with the low / ties 20-boys and 8-girls playing the final round at Riverside CC (7/1). All players who are participating in the Johnny Miller Masters and Champion divisions and the Belle Fellows division will participate as a 16-18 year old qualifying player.

TRUSTED CHOICE BIG I JUNIOR CLASSIC
Site: Reunion Golf & Country Club / Madison, Mississippi
Date: August 1-4
The top Boy participant (ZIONS BANK Jr. Tour Johnny Miller Masters & Champions combined division) and the top Girl participant (ZIONS BANK Jr. Tour / Belle Fellows division) will receive invitations to the national tournament. The qualifying tournament is the Utah Jr. Open to be held at Glen Eagle GC (7/6-7) after which a cut is made with the low / ties 20 boys and 8 girls playing the final round at Ogden G&CC (7/8). .
All qualifying players must receive UJGA Executive Committee approval for participation in this event.

EDDIE HOGAN CUP TEAM**
Site: Riverside G&CC / Portland, Oregon
Date: August 12-14
The top four players (17 years of age or younger) from the Johnny Miller Masters division of the ZIONS BANK Jr. Tour who did not compete on the Boys Junior America’s Cup Team and who have earned the highest number of points in tournaments up to and including the following:
- U.S. Junior Amateur Championship Qualifying
- Utah Jr. Open / Trusted Choice BIG I Qualifying
- Lynn Summerhays – Salt Lake City Junior Classic
- Evanston Jr.
- Wendover Jr.
- Utah County Jr.
- Utah State Junior Amateur Stroke Play Championship
All qualifying players must receive UJGA Executive Committee approval for participation in this event.
** Note: Boy participants can only participate on one of the UJGA Cup Teams (Junior Americas / Eddie Hogan Cup). The top qualifying player for the Boys Junior Americas Cup teams can opt out of participating on the JAC team and participate instead on the Eddie Hogan Cup team.
National Qualifying and Utah Team spots are held solely for Utah residents. The only exception to this is the USGA United States Junior Amateur Qualifying tournaments.
