JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Site:     San Diego, California
Date:    July 12-16

Age Groups: Boys & Girls 6 & Under / 7-8 / 9-10 / 11-12 / 13-14 / 15-17 (All age groups must qualify). The number of qualifying spots is determined by the Junior World Championships.

BOYS & GIRLS 15-17 / 13-14
The top four finishers (Boys 15-17), the top two finishers (Boys 13-14), the top two finishers (Girls 15-17) and the top finisher (Girls 13-14) will qualify for the Junior World Championships. The Junior World Qualifying is held at Mtn. Dell GC and Wingpointe GC on June 2-3, 2010.

BOYS & GIRLS 11-12 / 9-10 / 7- 8 / 6 & Under
The top two finishers (Boys 11-12 / 9-10 / 7- 8 / 6 & Under) and the top finisher (Girls 11-12 / 9-10 / 7-8 / 6 & Under) will qualify for the Junior World Championships. The qualifying tournament is the Junior World Qualifying to be held at Eagle Lake GC on June 1, 2010. The Boys 11-12 and 9-10 divisions will play an 18-hole qualifying tournament while the other divisions will play a 9-hole qualifying tournament.

All qualifiers must receive UJGA Executive Committee approval to participate in the National event.

UNITED STATES JUNIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Site:     Egypt Valley CC / Grand Rapids, Michigan
Date:    July 19-24

Entrants must apply on official USGA forms. To obtain the appropriate form access the USGA web site at www.usga.org (click on Championships / Apply to Play / Amateur Championships / Junior Amateur) or contact Jeff Thurman / USGA Junior Championship Committee at 801-492-4637. Entrants must not be 18 on or before July 24, 2010 and must have a handicap of 6.4 or less. If your handicap is higher than the indicated requirement please do not sign up for this tournament, as your entry will be denied.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SENT TO THE USGA BY THE ENTRY DEADLINE; ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE INDICATED DATE. The Utah Junior Golf Association WILL NOT accept entries.

The qualifying tournament is held at Wasatch Mountain State Park GC and Park City Golf Course on June 23-24 (36-holes / 18-each day).

UNITED STATES GIRLS JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Site:     Country Club of North Carolina / Pinehurst, North Carolina
Date:    July 19-24

Entrants must apply on official USGA forms. To obtain the appropriate form access the USGA web site at www.usga.org (click on Championships / Apply to Play / Amateur Championships / Girls Junior) or contact Judy Allem / USGA Junior Championship Committee at 801-973-8331. Entrants must not be 18 on or before July 24, 2010 and must have a handicap of 18.4 or less. If your handicap is higher than the indicated requirement please do not sign up for this tournament, as your entry will be denied.

The qualifying tournament is held at Hidden Valley Country Club on June 22nd (18-hole qualifying).

OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Site:     PGA National Golf Club; Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Date:    July 22-27 (Boys & Girls 15 & Under Divisions)
July 28 – August 1 (Boys & Girls 16 – 18 Division)

Age Groups: Boys & Girls 10-11 / 12-13 / 14-15 / 16-18 (All age groups must qualify. The number of qualifying spots is determined by the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships

BOYS & GIRLS 16-18:
The top 4 Boys 16-18 and the top 3 Girls 15-18 finishers will be eligible to play at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships. The qualifying tournament will be held on June 16-18 at East Bay (6/16), Sleepy Ridge (6/17) after which a cut is made with the low / ties 20-boys and 8-girls playing the final round at Riverside CC (6/18). All players who are participating in the Johnny Miller division / Boys 15-18 First Flight and the Belle Fellows division will participate as a 16-18 year old qualifying player.

BOYS & GIRLS 12-13 / 14-15:
The top 2 Boys 12-13 and 14-15 finishers and the top Girl 12-13 and 14-15 finisher will be eligible to play at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships. The qualifying tournament will be held on June 16-17 at East Bay (6/16) and Sleepy Ridge (6/17).

All players who are participating in the Mike Reid Division will participate in the 12-13 age qualifying age division.

All players who are participating in the Bruce Summerhays Division will participate in the 14-15 age  qualifying division.

The qualifying tournament for the Girls 12-13 is June 14th at Lakeside GC.

The qualifying tournament for the Girls 14-15 age division are those girls in the Belle Fellows Division that meet the age requirement. The qualifying tournament will be on June 16-18 at East Bay (6/16), Sleepy Ridge (6/17) after which a cut is made with the low / ties 8-girls playing the final round at Riverside CC (6/18).

BOYS & GIRLS 10-11:
The top Boy 10-11 finisher and the top Girl 10-11 finisher will be eligible to play at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships. The 9-hole qualifying is at Lakeside on June 14, 2010

The top four-players (17 years of age or younger) from the Johnny Miller division of the ZIONS BANK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES who have earned the highest number of UJGA Player Performance Points in the following tournaments:

GIRLS JUNIOR AMERICA'S CUP TEAM

The top four-players (15-17 years of age) from the Belle Fellows division of the ZIONS BANK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES who have earned the highest number of UJGA Player Performance Points in the following tournaments:

TRUSTED CHOICE BIG I JUNIOR CLASSIC
Site:     Olde York CC, Chesterfield, New Jersey
Date:    July 27-30

The top Boy participant (ZIONS BANK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES Johnny Miller Division / Boys 15-18 First Flight combined and the top Girl participant (ZIONS BANK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES / Belle Fellows division) will receive invitations to the national tournament. The qualifying tournament is the Utah Jr. Open to be held at Glen Eagle GC / Ogden G&CC on June 29 – July 1.

All qualifying players must receive UJGA Executive Committee approval for participation in this event.

MARY CAVE CUP TEAM
Site:     El Cajon, California
Date:    August 6-8

The MCC is a two-person Four-Ball team event. Two teams will represent Utah at the championship. Qualifying: the top-Girls Junior Americas Cup team member (see note) and the top UJGA ranked player based on PPR points will qualify as one team.
Qualifying for the second team will be the #5 and #6 ranked players from the UJGA’s Belle Fellows PPR points through the qualifying tournaments as indicated below, these include:

EDDIE HOGAN CUP TEAM**
Site:     Portland, Oregon
Date:    August 13-15

The top four-players (17 years of age or younger) from the Johnny Miller Division of the ZIONS BANK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES who did not compete on the Boys Junior America’s Cup Team and who have earned the highest number of points in tournaments up to and including the following:

All qualifying players must receive UJGA Executive Committee approval for participation in this event.

** Note: Boy participants can only participate on one of the UJGA Cup Teams (Junior Americas / Eddie Hogan Cup). The top qualifying player for the Boys / Girls Junior Americas Cup teams can opt-out of participating on the JAC team and participate instead on the Mary Cave Cup or Eddie Hogan Cup team.

National Qualifying and Utah Team spots are held solely for Utah residents. The only exception to this is the USGA United States Junior Amateur Qualifying tournaments.
