Swire Cup Team Announced

Team members have been selected to represent their respective divisions in the annual SWIRE Cup Competition Saturday, Sept. 13 at Thanksgiving Point.

The team members qualified to play in the competition based on their performance points during the year in designated tournaments in the Utah Junior Golf Association ZIONS BANK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES. Members for the four teams are selected from the Johnny Miller, Boys 15-18 First Flight, Bruce Summerhays, Boys 13-14 First Flight, Mike Reid, Belle Fellows and Judie Ahrend divisions.

The tournament is handicapped based on the playing ability of the respective teams. The teams and their respective yardage are: Boys 15-18, 7,000 yards; Boys 13-14, 6,600 yard; Girls, 6,200 yards and Boys 11-12, 5,800 yards.

Each team member will score his or her golf ball. The lowest four scores from each team will determine the team score. The lowest team will win the SWIRE Cup.
