Wight, Ballenger Win Evanston Jr.

Brigham City's Joseph Wight came from behind to capture the Evanston Junior in the Johnny Miller Division.

Wight was trailing by three strokes going into the second round of the Evanston Junior at Purple Sage Golf Course in Evanston, Wyo. By the end of the tournament, he had turned that around and found himself the winner by three strokes. He was the only player in the older boy's division to shoot under par on the second day of play.

Wight was joined on the championship podium by Belle Fellows' Division Champion Lauren Ballenger, Heber City. Ballenger, who plays in the girls 15-18 division, led throughout the tournament. She posted the low score both days in the tournament to win the division by six strokes.
